The Kileleshwa death investigation has attracted attention in Nairobi after 34-year-old Raphael Gitonga was found dead at Kaptai Court during the night of October 18–19, 2026. Police launched investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding the suspected fall from an eighth-floor apartment window.
According to media reports, nine people were detained for questioning, including six foreign nationals, as detectives pursued leads into the incident. However, the detentions do not establish guilt, and the precise circumstances of Gitonga’s death had not been conclusively determined in the reports available at the time.
