Sofiya Nzau Announces Major International Tour
Kenyan singer and songwriter Sofiya Nzau has announced her 2026/27 world tour, with performances planned across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia as she continues expanding her international music career.
The tour will take the Afro-house star to several destinations, including Batumi, Krasnodar, Kyrgyzstan, Amsterdam, Nairobi and Lagos, before continuing to the Asia-Pacific region in February 2027.
The announcement, made in October 2026, comes as Nzau continues to attract international attention through her music and streaming success. She has been recognised as East Africa’s most-streamed artist on Spotify and Apple Music, according to reports covering the tour announcement.

Additional dates are expected to be announced, meaning the current itinerary could expand as preparations for the tour continue.
Tour to Cover Europe and Africa
The first announced destinations include Batumi in Georgia, Krasnodar in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
These stops will give Nzau opportunities to perform for audiences outside her home region and introduce more international listeners to her distinctive sound.
The tour will also bring her back to Nairobi, where she is scheduled to perform at Lynk on November 13, 2026.

She is also expected to perform in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 27, 2026, at Element House. The two African dates will connect her international touring schedule with audiences in Kenya and one of the continent’s major music markets.
For Kenyan fans, the Nairobi performance will offer an opportunity to experience the singer’s music live as she continues building her presence internationally.
Sofiya Nzau Heads to Australia and Asia in 2027
The tour is scheduled to continue into February 2027, with performances planned in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in Australia.
Nzau will also visit Bali in Indonesia and Bangkok in Thailand before travelling to Auckland, New Zealand.

The Asia-Pacific leg will extend the singer’s reach to audiences far beyond East Africa, reflecting the growing international appeal of African electronic and Afro-house music.
Her official website has also promoted the upcoming world tour, with fans invited to sign up for further details about the Australia, Bali, New Zealand and Thailand dates.
Although the itinerary already spans several countries, organisers are expected to provide further information as additional performances are confirmed.
‘Mwaki’ Helped Put Sofiya Nzau on the Global Map
Nzau’s international rise has been closely associated with the success of Mwaki, her collaboration with Brazilian DJ and producer Zerb.
The track gained widespread attention across streaming platforms and electronic music circles, introducing her distinctive vocals and Kenyan musical influences to listeners around the world.
Her use of Kikuyu-language vocals within contemporary electronic production has helped distinguish her sound in the global music scene.
In 2025, Nzau also made history as the first Kenyan and East African artist to perform at the Tomorrowland electronic dance music festival in Belgium, according to published profiles of the singer.

These milestones have helped strengthen her international profile and opened opportunities to connect with audiences beyond Kenya.
A Major Moment for Kenyan Music
Sofiya Nzau’s 2026/27 world tour highlights the growing opportunities for Kenyan artists to reach international audiences through streaming platforms, collaborations and live performances.
The inclusion of cities across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia demonstrates the geographical reach of her current touring plans.

For the Kenyan music industry, her international activity also provides visibility for local languages, sounds and creative talent on stages around the world.
